Programming Drums in Ableton Live Using Audio Files

1st Things 1st: Download and store the class materials folder The first thing you should do is download the class materials zip file. In this mini course you’ll learn how to quickly program drum patterns only using audio (wav files). Wav files are everywhere you look on the internet. For this course however, I ask that you use the sounds I've included in the class materials. Also included is a folder of Live sessions. One of which is the template that you will open to begin the course. Familiarize yourself with some of the most commonly used shortcuts in Live by consulting the included pdf file. Shortcuts are crucial in remaining creative and working quickly in music production.

Familiarize yourself with the available cursor tools. Depending on where you place the mouse you will have different functionality.
