This Winter and Spring of 2023, we are continuing our partnership with the Chicago West Community Music Center at ISPro Academy. We have also collaborated with the Hyde Park Art Center, Kelvyn Park High School, and CYC: Rebecca K. Crown. Under the leadership of Marlon King, the founder of Insomniac Studios, and Brian Sykes, the founder of Unchained Genius, our team has worked diligently with our students to instill the principles of music production and royalty collection

We piloted our middle school program at the CYC-Rebecca K Crown Youth Center. With our younger students, we emphasized the importance of creating musical variation, particularly when setting up verse and hook structures. This framework not only facilitated learning but also provided our students with an opportunity to enlighten us about their musical preferences. Based on their tastes, we engaged them in discussions about the science and mathematics involved in creating the music they love.

ISPro Academy’s 10-week program at Kelvyn Park High School was a highly engaging journey in innovation. Though the group started with 10 spirited students, it gradually distilled into a close-knit cohort, with 2 resilient finishers. Among them, Raul stood as a prodigy, submitting an extraordinary project that displayed his sheer brilliance and dedication. His remarkable achievements epitomized the essence of the program, highlighting the power of perseverance and the boundless potential within our youth.
