If you’re unfamiliar with Discord and would like to join a server using your mobile device, this guide is just for you. Follow these simple steps to get started:
Step 1: Download Discord App
Go to your device’s app store
(Google Play Store for Android, App Store for iOS).
Search for “Discord”.
Tap on “Install” or “Get” to download the app.
Step 2: Create a Discord Account
Once the app is installed, open it.
Tap on “Register”.
Enter your email address, create a username, and choose a strong password.
You may receive an email to verify your account. If you do, open the email and tap on the verification link.
Step 3: Log in to Discord
Open the Discord app on your device.
Enter the email and password you used to create your account.
Tap “Login”.
Step 4: Join My Server
To join a server, you will need an invite link which I will provide.
In the Discord app, you’ll see an icon with three horizontal lines in the top-left corner. Tap on it.
Now, tap on the ‘+’ icon near the bottom.
Select “Join a Server”.
Paste the invite link into the box and tap “Join”.
Step 5: Start Chatting!
Once you’re in the server, you’ll see different channels. These can be text channels (marked with a ‘#’) or voice channels (marked with a speaker icon).
Tap on a text channel to start typing messages, or tap on a voice channel to speak with others.
Use the text box at the bottom to type messages in a text channel.
Step 6: Adjust Your Settings (Optional)
If you want to change your notification settings, audio settings, or anything else, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner again.
Now, tap on the gear icon at the bottom.
Explore the various options and adjust them as needed.
